New Homebrew 3DO Shooter "Terminus" Features Silent Hill's Lisa Garland

Homebrew studio Retro Love Letter is developing Terminus, a new first-person shooter for the 3DO that casts players as a space pirate investigating a distress signal, only to find the ship's crew turned into monsters. While the similarities to classics like DOOM are certainly there, Retro Love Letter has stated that inspiration partly came from another 3DO title, Killing Time. The team says the engine was built from scratch without AI assistance, and uses hand-made pixel-art textures alongside weapons and objects digitized from 3D-printed models. The game features voice work from Thessaly Lerner (Lisa Garland in the original Silent Hill) and a score by musician Ed Wilson, running on real 3DO hardware at roughly 30fps with both NTSC and PAL support.
