Leaked Images Reveal LEGO's Upcoming PlayStation 1 Set

Two box photos said to show LEGO's forthcoming PlayStation 1 set have surfaced online via leaker BrickTap. The set is reportedly numbered "72306 Sony PlayStation," runs to 1,911 pieces, carries a $160 price tag, and is expected to launch October 1. The set features the console with a working disc tray and removable controller, the box hides two flip-out dioramas built into the tray -- one modeled on Gran Turismo's race track, the other on Ape Escape's jungle setting, complete with custom printed pieces. BrickTap has a solid track record for early LEGO leaks, and there is little reason to believe the set is anything but real. An official reveal from LEGO is expected soon.
